Roberto Orci after giving away direction duties to Justin Lin has now confirmed that he will not even be writing the script. He will only be an executive producer for the film.

So a quick summary of STAR TREK 3:
same cast but with a whole new creative team. This means we ll get to see the film in a new way but not consistent with the first two films .

Top 10 Sci-Fi Films of 2014 !!

Well with a lot of Sci-fi films coming out this year, this list was a little tough to make. So I have still come up with my favourite sci-fi films.

1) Interstellar - This film just blew my mind since the first moment I laid eyes on it. With perfect direction by Chris Nolan to the acting by the brilliant cast, the audio visual effects, screenplay, everything was tied in so seamlessly into this epic movie. The background score by Hans Zimmer is one of the best scores of his career. Chris Nolan definitely achieved cinematic greatness with this film.

2) Guardians of the Galaxy - This film introduced us to the other Marvel team and I can just say one thing, AWESOME. This was an awesome film and James Gunn and Marvel did an amazing job with characters which the general public didn't even know about. This one deserves to be the highest grosser of the year.

3) Snowpiercer - This Post-Apocalyptic film Directed by Bong Joon-ho and starring Chris Evans, Tilda Swinton and Ed Harris is a sheer masterpiece. Great visuals, beautifully directed and edited, the background score, everything is perfect in this film.

4) Captain America - The Winter Soldier - Great acting by Chris Evans and the supporting cast.  This film in all its senses is MARVEL. This film takes the MCU into a whole new direction with amazing visual affects and an engaging storyline.

5)Dawn of the Planet Of the Apes - Caesar is back in this film living an idyllic life with his ape brethen but rogue apes and human factions lead to destruction in this film. This film directed by Matt Reeves takes this series into a whole new direction making it more of a drama with amazing acting chops by Andy Serkis and the supporting cast. One of the best summer flicks this year.

6) Edge of Tomorrow - Tom Cruise, time travel, Emily Blunt, aliens..Hmm Enough Said. Gotta watch it.

7) X-Men DOFP - DOFP kind of just stepped over the original trilogy with changing the whole storyline towards the end but it kinda made for an interesting films coz we get back Jean and Scott and this film made up for all the mistakes that happened in the Last Stand. Hopefully Apocalypse can live up to its hype as well with the already stellar cast.

8) Godzilla - This remake took Godzilla back to its roots from the original story and showed Godzilla in a way that showed its greatness.

9) Lucy - Truth be told when i saw the rushes of this film, I thought it was just another sci-fi film which has Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman where she untaps her brain capacity. When I watched the film , I loved every moment of it. Although it was a bit slow in the middle , the engaging story, incredible acting and the action made this film turn up in this list.

10) Transformers- Age Of Extinction - I dont know about you guys, but I definitely felt this film brought a breath of fresh air to the stale franchise. It would have been better if it was not that long and more Dino-Bots( Hope ur listening Michael Bay) but it surely did a great job on the visual as usual.

Honorable Mention: The Maze Runner, The Amazing Spiderman 2 , Birdman , Under The Skin.

The Suicide Squad Cast !

DC is on a roll with their upcoming slate of films which are going to hit theatres starting with Batman V Superman:Dawn of Justice in March 2016.
The spinoff film Suicide Squad has come up with an impressive cast of its own with the squad comprising of  Will Smith as Deadshot, Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn,  Jared Leto as the Joker and Tom Hardy as Rick Flagg. Jai Courtney plays Boomerang and Cara Delevinge will be playing the Enchantress. The film is set to release in August 2016 and is being directed by David Ayer. There are also ongoing talks that Jesse Eisenberg might be reprising his role of Lex Luthor from Dawn of Justice.
Being a fan of all the comic book films coming out these days, I was not really excited about the Sucide Squad but the cast WB has got just increases my curiosity. This looks like a hell of a star cast which gives strong competition to the likes of Justice and the MCU teams which have the Avengers and The Guardians of the Galaxy.
